“Rock, Papers, Scissors” by Len
Fisher is an introductory course to game theory and how it can be applied to
everyday problems or real world problems. The topics which he covers ranges
from everyday situations and also include actual incidents. The book also shows
various mathematical solutions to everyday and common problems we encounter
when dealing with others.
Game Theory is a study of strategic
interactions or decision making in which it produce outcomes with respect to
your preferences. According to Len Fisher, there is another side to game
theory, it’s not just about competition, it’s also about cooperation and
collaboration.
Game theory is not just some more
math stuff on games work, it can also be applied to a whole lot of things like
deciding what to wear or even to some biological problems. This book shows us varying
degrees and methods especially communication to win or achieve mutual satisfaction
in a confrontation.
I like how he wrote about
cooperation and trust. It was fun learning from this book especially since I
don’t know a thing about game theory or that it even exist. Most of the time
though, I find it a bit boring. But Len Fisher’s ten tips for cooperation in
everyday life was good.
